Outside gets weather. Inside gets fingerprints.
Exterior glass is exposed to rain, sprinkler overspray, dust, pollen, exhaust, and inversion particulate. Interior glass mostly deals with dust, cooking film, hands, and noses — dog owners know exactly what we mean.
That difference in exposure is why the two sides need different schedules.
A schedule that works for most homes

When interior cleaning is genuinely worth it
- Before hosting. Holidays, parties, family visiting.
- Before listing your home. Interior haze shows in photos and showings.
- Kitchens. Cooking puts a fine grease film on nearby glass that regular wiping smears rather than removes.
- Homes with pets or young kids. Self-explanatory.
- After construction or remodeling. Drywall dust gets on everything, and it's abrasive — see our post-construction cleaning.
Why we clean screens with the exterior
There's not much point cleaning glass and then putting a dusty screen back in front of it. The first breeze pushes that dust right back onto the pane. Screens get removed, washed, and reinstalled as part of the job.
Tracks: the part everybody forgets
Window tracks collect grit, dead insects, and moisture. Left alone, that turns into a gritty paste that makes windows hard to open and can hold water against the frame. It's not glamorous but it's genuinely worth doing once or twice a year.
What it costs to add interior

The practical answer
Most of our customers do exterior twice a year, interior once a year in the spring, screens and tracks with it. That combination keeps a house looking genuinely maintained without over-servicing anything.
